Knowledge Demon
Act 2 pressure-window boss
Knowledge Demon is an Act 2 boss page focused on mid-run checks: damage, block, and scaling before the late-game engine is complete.
Punishes unfinished engines
Damage, block, and one scaling path
Preparation note
Act 2 bosses test the deck before it becomes perfect. Knowledge Demon-style fights should be approached as a mid-run audit: does the deck have enough immediate output, enough block on bad hands, and one reliable way to keep up if the fight goes long?

- Bring front-loaded damage before adding another slow payoff.
- Keep at least one defensive answer for bad opening hands.
- Use potion planning to cover the first dangerous boss window.
Reward-screen warning
Before this matchup, greedy rewards are dangerous unless the deck already has practical fight coverage. A card can be powerful later and still be wrong if it makes the next boss hand slower.
Danger-window checklist
Knowledge Demon should be planned around the first turn where the deck must answer pressure before the engine is complete. The safe checklist is immediate damage, block for an imperfect draw, one scaling plan, and a potion or relic out when those pieces do not arrive together.
- Damage check: can the deck shorten the fight before scaling falls behind?
- Block check: can an awkward hand defend without giving up the whole turn?
- Scaling check: does the long-fight plan work before too much HP is lost?
- Potion check: is there a saved answer for the first failed hand?
Character-specific warnings
Different characters fail this fight in different ways. Ironclad can overvalue slow strength, Silent can add attacks without enough block, Necrobinder can spend too long protecting the companion plan, Regent can chase payoff before stability, and Defect can draft orb ceiling before the setup turn is safe.
